In Zaporozhye, a Mennonite Church has been reborn, largely out of the Mennonites who re-surfaced after independence.  It is a special time for the cruise passengers to join in a Sunday morning service together with them.

During the earlier evenings, a choir was formed which rehearsed several nights on some challenging music including an original composition by Stephanie Martin.  [More about the service will be added.]

In the service, the children of the church sang and recited for us.  Translations in both directions had been prepared in advance.

Many of the cruise passengers speak Low German as do the older people in the church, and they enjoyed visiting at the end of the service.
