In the former Annenfeld, we spent time in a house built by Mennonites, in all likelihood, at around the turn of
the century.
This door goes from the enclosed porch into the house. The two pictures below may be
difficult to make out, particularly for computers with lower video color resolution.
On the lower left is a traditional South Russian Mennonite stovetop, built into the wall.
On the right, is the component on the other side of the wall, an oven. This
oven could heat several rooms, burn a variety of fuels including grass and provide the
cooking surfaces.
